News - French Film Crew Impressed with Guernsey

Guernsey is like 'England's Corsica' according to the French film crew that visited Guernsey back in June. The crew, headed by TV presenter Marie Dominique Perrin, was in the island for four days doing a piece inspired by Victor Hugo for the French daytime programme Telematin.

During their stay, they toured the island and visited such sites as Fort George, Le Gouffre, Moulin Huet, Hauteville House and Candie Gardens. They also did a piece on Sark, as it was an area that not many of their viewers were aware of.

The comments received from Marie and the crew were that Guernsey was a beautiful surprise, with interesting bays and amazing views. The island was compared favourably to other locations that they had visited throughout Europe.
