Millions of viewers who tuned into GMTV's early breakfast show on 9 October would have seen a glimpse of Guernsey as the programme aired it's special report on Jenny Allen, a local Aurigny pilot. The programme was part of a week long series dedicated to Black History Month and the contributions black people are making in Britain.
Aurigny was contacted directly by GMTV who were keen to do a piece on Jenny. The film crew visited the Island the week before it was aired and shot footage in the aircraft and at various locations around Guernsey. They even had to re-schedule the crew's flights because the crew requested to stay longer. The reporter was keen to revisit the Island and left with some ideas to consider for the future.
