Film maker Barry Palin has been filming in Guernsey as part of a project to produce a film about the island's Waste Management issues. He has been commissioned by the Guernsey Board of Administration and will be visiting the Island from time to time until 2006 when the new waste to energy plant is expected to open.
A distant cousin of Michael Palin, Barry has won a Bafta for a short drama produced in 1991 and eight gold industry awards for corporate film making.
For the module filmed at the beginning of 2003, Guernseyman Stefan Otto was on camera. Stefan is a former employee of Channel TV.
