New Guernsey company, av8pix is bringing a new perspective to the field of aerial photography.
Using a 9 metre long mini airship the blimp can be used indoors and outdoors, subject to
favourable weather conditions.
The airship has a custom-built camera platform housing high quality stills or broadcast quality DVCAM equipment. This allows close
up views of parts of buildings that could only be achieved in the past using scaffolding. Recently used in Hereford Cathedral it provided
images which will be used in a DVD documentary about the Cathedral and images of the majestic art work will be displayed on
the Cathedral web site.
