The Guernsey Film Commission had a strong presence in the Location Village for the 2002 Production show held at Olympia in May. The show attracted record numbers of people and the Guernsey stand received an exciting number of visitors over the course of the three days.
Guernsey Film Commissioner, Tony Brassell, was very pleased with the show and the publicity for
Guernsey by having a stand at this event. "We received a wide range of enquiries from location
and production questions through to individual interest in the Island and what it has to offer.
We even had a visit by a couple planning to get married on the island later in the year who were
looking for a local photographer. I certainly hope that this show will justify our decision not
to have a presence in Cannes this year and to concentrate our efforts closer to home."
He continued, "With so many brochures and enquiries during the three days and in the weeks that followed the show, Guernsey is certainly better known now in the film community than ever before.
